Should governments shut it down in times of crisis?

After 300 people were killed by terrorists in coordinated attacks on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka, the government shut down all social media in an attempt to stem the spread of false and unverified information and to prevent an inflaming of the already tense situation. Based on this situation, this survey asks global internet users if governments should be allowed to shut down social media platforms or if it was unacceptable because social media is the primary source of news and communication for many people.
