Hotels are the most profitable in TriCity during the summer season
Poland's capital, Warsaw, has the most hotel rooms, with over five thousand rooms more than the next popular destination - Krakow. Other popular cities include Gdansk, Wroclaw, and Poznan. Just like in the country overall, the most common hotels in Warsaw are 3-star hotels. There are 12 more 3-star hotels than 4-star ones in Warsaw, and the occupancy rate of the hotel room reached nearly 67 percent in 2022. However, in terms of revenues, the TriCity (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia) performs much better than Warsaw due to it coastal location. In June 2023, revenue per available room (RevPAR) of hotels in the TriCity reached over 414 zloty, while in Warsaw it was 30 zloty lower. The hotel market in Poland is led by one chain group, Accor, with 91 hotels in 2022. Other successful chain groups include Polski Holding Hotelowy, Hilton, and Louvre Hotels.
