Renewable energy capacity in Tunisia 2011-2022
In 2022, the total renewable energy capacity in Tunisia amounted to 508 megawatts (MW). The country was able to increase its capacity significantly compared to 2011, when it could produce a maximum of 119 MW. While investments in the renewable sector are growing, they have not been enough to determine the energy transition. This is far to achieve since fossil fuels are still predominant in the country's energy mix.
