In 2019, UniCredit was the leading banking group in Italy in terms of total revenue. In fact, the Italian bank with headquarters in Milan reported a total revenue of about 19 billion euros. Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit's biggest competitor in the country, came second in the ranking presented in the graph, with revenues amounting to 17.5 billion euros. Far behind in third place was Banco BPM, which reported a total revenue of approximately 4.2 billion euros in 2019.
