Tourism revenue growth in Spain 2021, by region
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the Spanish tourism sector continued to experience significant revenue losses between April and June 2021 versus the same months of 2019. Madrid was the autonomous community with the highest drop in tourism revenue in that period, with -75.3 percent. However, six Spanish regions recorded revenue declines in this sector above 70 percent.
