According to a survey measuring the purchasing sentiment of United Kingdom (UK) consumers considering private label items amid the coronavirus pandemic, many reported considering private label over brand label products. Due to the unknown nature of the length, time and severity of the pandemic, consumer purchasing attitudes have shifted to focus more on affordability rather than label or brand. 67 percent of UK consumers surveyed stated considering purchasing private label packaged food and 62 percent stated considering purchasing private label home and household care products.
