Types of incidents covered by cyber insurance in OECD countries 2020
Only one third of cyber insurance policies in OECD countries included coverage for cyber fraud and theft, according to a 2020 analysis of available policies. Conversely, network security liability and data confidentiality breaches was included in all the policies surveyed. Generally, cyber insurance is designed to protect businesses from risks arising from the use of data and technology in business operations.
