With the outbreak of the virulent COVID-19 crisis in 2020, physical commerce has somewhat shifted into a digital mode. With rising online availability and a high range of diverse products, e-commerce websites, online marketplaces, pure players and small businesses have assessed their consumers needs and acted accordingly, especially regarding delivery options. When French consumers were asked, which delivery functionalities were the most important to display, 61 percent mentioned that the possibility home delivery was the most useful delivery option feature.
