Food and agriculture FDI in Africa 2017, by country
In the years between 2003 and 2017, Nigeria attracted four billion U.S. dollars of foreign direct investment (FDI), representing the leading country of destination of foreign investment on the continent. Moreover, FDI in Egypt had a value of 2.9 billion U.S. dollars, while Cameroon and South Africa followed with 2.5 billion U.S. dollars each. In the same period, Western Africa attracted the highest value of FDI, exceeding eight billion U.S. dollars.
