COVID-19 impact on OTT subscriptions India 2020
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and consequent lockdown between March and June 2020 across India led to an increase in media consumption. The over-the-top sector saw an increase of 30 percent in paid subscription between January and July 2020, from over 21 million to 29 million. Furthermore, metros accounted for the highest OTT video platform users.
