Among the world's leading 40 mining companies in 2020, mining companies located in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) had the highest environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) benchmark scores across all categories. Mining companies located in Asia Pacific scored on average the lowest on all categories except for Governance - board in the ESG benchmarks.
