Clean cooking fuels and technology access rate in Morocco 2000-2020
In 2020, the access rate of the Moroccan population to clean cooking fuels and cooking technology stood at 98 percent. The rate increased from 90 percent in 2000. A report has revealed that over three billion people in developing countries rely on coal and traditional biomass to meet their cooking energy needs. Heavy reliance on these, however, often result in exposure to indoor air pollution, which leads to premature deaths.
