Food availability score in Egypt from 2012-2022
In 2022, the food availability score for Egypt fell to 54.2 points, down from 60 compared to the previous year. During the period in review, Egypt scored its highest punctuation in the food availability index in 2019. The current overall food security environment score in the country was 56 points. Food affordability, availability, quality and safety, as well as sustainability and adaptation made up the four major categories of the Global Food Security Index (GFSI).
