As of June 2024, the information technology sector accounted for the largest allocation of assets under management (AUM) by the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust fund. The IT sector accounted for roughly 18 percent more than the next highest-ranking sector, financials. As the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust is an indirect index, the fund allocation almost mirrors that of the S&P 500.
