In the United States, 25-year-old women in 2021 were found more likely than 25-year-old women in 1980 to be financially independent, with 56 percent of women in 2021 sharing this trait. 25-year-old women in 2021 were also found to be equally likely as 25-year-old women in 1980 to work full-time, at 61 percent.
