Development land repeat sales index in the U.S. 1998-2024
The CoStar Commercial Repeat-Sales Index (CCRSI) for development land in the United States rose in March 2023, reaching 413 index points, just two index points below the market peak. The index measures the development of sales prices of land with 2000 chosen as a base year. An index value of 200 means that sales prices have doubled since 2000. Unlike development land, other property types saw more price volatility, as shown by the office real estate repeat-sales index, industrial and logistic real estate repeat sales index, and retail real estate repeat sales index.
