BJP ad spend on Google Ads India 2019-2024
According to Google's report on ad transparency, the Bharatiya Janata Party, one of India's major national political parties, spent 136 million Indian rupees on Google Ads just two months into 2024. The highest ad spending over a five-year span was recorded in 2023. While the ruling party has consistently proven to be a major spender on political advertising, it is interesting to note that its ad spend spiked particularly around election season, such as in 2019 and the years leading up to the 2024 national elections.
