Age distribution of living family members divided by the Korean War 2023
The count of divided family members in this statistic is equivalent to the number of applicants for the family reunion from 1988 and to June 30, 2021. Since the Korean War ended in 1953, many families have been divided into North and South Korea. After the North-South Korea Summit in 2000, the governments have arranged 21 reunion meetings for the divided families until December 2015.
