Distribution of car sales in France in 2020, by body type
In 2020, sedans amounted to 50.1 percent of new car registrations in France followed by four-wheel drive and sport-utility vehicles with 39.5 percent. Multi-purpose vehicles and station wagons held 5.1 percent and 4 percent of the market repectively. In contrast, coupé-convertibles were less popular, with around 0.7 percent of the total sales.
