House price index (HPI) change in EU-27 2023, by country
The price of residential property (including both newly-constructed and existing property) in the second quarter of 2023 fell in many European countries from the same period in 2022. Prices rose the most in Croatia and Bulgaria, whereas Germany and Denmark saw the most decline. Overall, the index fell by 1.1 index point, meaning that there was a decline of about one percent of residential prices in 2015 - the baseline year for the index.
