Reasons to throw away meat, fish and poultry in Flanders (Belgium) 2017-2018
The statistic displays the results of a survey of reasons to throw away meat, fish and poultry in Flanders (Belgium) in 2017 and 2018. The survey results indicate that within the time-frame considered, the main reason that meat, fish and poultry were thrown away in Flemish households was that the quantity cooked or prepared was too large. Just over 30 percent of respondents indicated that they threw away meat and fish because they had cooked too much, while just over a fifth of respondents did so because the product had gone off.
