EU carbon neutrality funding allocated in Italy 2020
With the Just Transition Fund (JTF) announced in 2020, the European Union (EU) mobilized roughly 7.5 billion euros to support the transition to carbon neutrality across its member states. This included funding for initiatives supporting the sectors most affected by the transition. The share of the JTF allocated to Italy amounted to 364 million euros. In total, Italy expected to receive funding for an estimated 1.3 billion euros to transition to a carbon-neutral economy by 2050.
