The survey results suggest that as of 2018, the majority of parents who did not give their children pocket money decided not to do so because they were of the opinion that their child did not need money. Close to 25 percent of parents surveyed indicated that their child had no need for pocket money, and that they could pay for whatever their child needs. Meanwhile, just two percent of respondents said their child did not want any pocket money.
