As of December 31, 2021, Japan had around 115.32 thousand licensed motorcycle drivers aged 70 to 74 years, representing the largest license-holding age group for two-wheelers. However, when excluding motorized bicycles, as they are included in every other license category but one, the largest age group for ordinary motorcycles was 16 to 19 years; the one for large motorcycles was also 70 to 74 years yet.
