Public opinion: in favor of increasing taxes to fund NHS 2015-2019
According to the survey, two-thirds of Great Britain's public would like to see a tax increase in order to maintain the level of spending needed to keep the current level of care and services provided by the NHS. One fifth were in favor of reducing funding of other services such as education and welfare to maintain NHS services. Overall the percentage of those in favor of a tax increase to fund the NHS has grown since 2015.
