Public view on a treaty to end plastic pollution in Europe 2022, by country
The majority of adults surveyed across 10 countries in Europe in 2022 believed that a treaty creating global rules for governments to end plastic pollution and with consequences for breaking those rules should be implemented. The largest share of respondents who believed such a treaty was important was in France, at 59 percent. Great Britain followed closely, with 58 percent of adults believing a treaty with consequences to combat plastic pollution should be implemented.
