Debit card purchases in Mexico averaged roughly 850 Mexican pesos, or about 42 dollars, in 2022 - a value that was 130 pesos higher than in 2021. This is according to estimates based on the overall value of instant payment transactions made with the domestic scheme CoDi against the number of transactions within the country. CoDi is seen as a major attempt by the Mexican central bank to turn Mexico into a cashless society. The
