U.S. median weekly earnings 2000-2023, by union membership and race
In 2023, unionized and non-unionized Asian workers had the highest median weekly earnings in the United States at 1,422 and 1,482 U.S. dollars respectively. While the wages of other unionized racial and ethnic minorities are around 200 dollars per week higher than their non-unionized counterparts, racial wage inequalities appear to persist across union membership. Unionized white workers for example, earn a median weekly income of 1,294 U.S. dollars, while unionized Black workers earn around an average of 1,102 U.S. dollars per week.
