Experience on dealing with mental health discomfort in Argentina 2022
According to a survey carried out in Argentina in 2022, the preferred strategy for handling mental health discomfort in the South American country was talking to friends (40,44 percent) followed by praying (22.61 percent) and reaching out to a professional psychologist (22.09 percent). Other ways of dealing with mental health discomfort were medication (21.57 percent) and practicing sports (18.26 percent). A share of interviewees resorted to drinking alcohol. In 2021, Argentina allocated 1.27 percent of its health budget on mental health programs.
