Annual magnesium recycling from new scrap in the United States 2005-2021
In 2021, the volume of magnesium recycled from new scrap in the United States amounted to 79.3 thousand metric tons, up from 70.3 thousand tons in the previous year. Figures refer to scrap that results from the manufacturing process, including metal and alloy production. New scrap of magnesium excludes home scrap, which is scrap generated and recycled in the metal producing plant.
