Annual copper recycling from scrap in the United States 2005-2021
In 2021, around 840,000 metric tons of copper were recycled from both old and new scrap in the United States, slightly down from 858,000 metric tons in the previous year. When compared to 2005 figures, the U.S. copper recycling volume has decreased by nearly 12 percent.
