In 2018, there were 13 million new cases of human papillomavirus (HPV). In comparison there were only 8,300 new cases of sexually transmitted hepatitis B. This statistic shows the incidence (estimated number of new infections - diagnosed or undiagnosed) of select sexually transmitted diseases in the United States in 2018.
