Share of U.S. adults who knew the curability of common STIs as of 2019
Around half of the adults did know the curability of common STIs. While nearly 6 in 10 adults were correct in that genital herpes is not curable, less than 4 in 10 adults knew that the human papillomavirus is incurable. This statistic shows the percentage of adults in the United States who knew whether common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) other than HIV or AIDS were curable or not as of 2019.
